The idea of “The Rugged Christian” is to promote rugged Christianity. Our definition of a Rugged
Christian is confronting the problems of Christians not standing for biblical truth in our personal lives,
our homes, our schools, our communities, our churches and our government policies. We as Christians
have been instructed to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We are required to defend
the faith that is within us. (1 Peter 3:15). Defending the faith that is within us requires us to take a stand
for biblical Christian morality and principles. To stand and defend our faith in Jesus Christ. We are to
defend our faith with the love Jesus displayed, but with the sometimes-confrontational tone He so often
took with those so willing to appose Christ, His word and the kingdom of heaven. We as Christians need
to shed idolatry and false worship of every kind. We are to worship Jesus Christ, the ‘King of Kings’ and
Him alone. (Deuteronomy 12:32-13:18)

Let us take strength in the Divine Creator, our Savior and the Victor over sin and death (1 Corinthians
15:55-57).
